Students are to write a short story that demonstrates their understanding of the stages of plot and the characteristics of a short story.

In this assignment, you are asked to label Canada's imports and exports. You will demonstrate your understanding of this assignment visually on a world map.

The students will put together a poster for display. It will display categories of research information they have collected about their event or company.

Create a poetry book that will include six original poems: 1 Cinquain, 1 Concrete, 1 Diamonte, 1 Limerick, 1 Haiku, and 1 Acrostic. At least one poem will be presented orally. Your poetry book must also include a glossary of the six terms and an introductory letter explaining why you picked your theme for each poem and how it relates to your book. Students will also include an illustration that best represents the overall poetry book’s theme for the front cover.

Students will create an original short story. The story must use all 5 of the columns discussed (Setting, Protagonist, Antagonist, Conflict, Resolution). Keep your short story relatively short, between 300-400 words. The final copy will be marked on proper paragraph form, punctuation, capitalization, spelling and indentation.

Write a newspaper article that includes the 5 W's and is all about Ramadan. Article should be written in such a way that it assumes the reader knows nothing about Ramadan. All work must stick to the facts and be original.

Students were to work in groups to create an "Awareness" poster about the Rain forest.

Students will create an original script based off of a nursery rhyme. The script must maintain the idea of the nursery rhyme but artistic extras are allowed. The final draft must be typed in proper script format. The script must be a minimum of 5 minutes in final performance format.
