Washington D.C. Research Project and Presentation
The purpose of this project is to learn about Washington, D.C. and many of the famous buildings, monuments and memorials you will be visiting. You will create a colorful and very informative Powerpoint telling us the history and importance of your location. Remember to include information on the Who, What, Where, and Why….Also, include many, many photos and lots of interesting facts….

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed. Finished work appears sloppy.
Poor
Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product. Disorganized

The PPT has an element of creativity and style. Information is presented in a clear manner with full understanding of the subject. PPT has several photos per slides that relate to the topics of the PPT

The PPT is clear and logical and contains facts with very few mistakes. Information is clear with fair understanding of the subject. PPT has at least 2 photos per slide with related information.
Fair
The visual aid shows some understanding of the subject matter, but contains errors and appears more like a list of facts. It lacks style, neatness and clarity. PPT has only one photo on most slides that relate to slide topics.
Poor
The visual aid does not reveal a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. It lacks neatness and clarity. PPT slides are lacking photos that relate to the slide topics.
Presentation

The student is well-prepared and addresses the class. Presents the information clearly, and displays a complete understanding of the information...Speaks in a clear voice and loud enough to be heard by the class.
Good
The student presents the information clearly and displays a reasonable understanding of their information...Presentation is conducted from the screen and not to the class. Speaks with pauses and "like" and "uumms"
Fair
The information presented is not clearly displayed consistently throughout the project. Student ignores the class. Students cannot be heard. Students cannot be heard. Is not prepared to present.
Poor
Not enough preparation was done for the presentation of the information. It therefore lacks the expected elements. Not speaking loud enough to be heard. Student speaks to the screen.
