Title 20 %	Poor Unrelated to the story	Fair Somewhat related to the story	Good Provides a clue about the main character or setting of the story	Excellent Descriptive, appropriate, and interesting!
Characters & Setting 20 %	Poor No setting or characters given.	Fair Setting in a specific time/place is unclear. Characters are introduced but no description of who they are.	Good Setting given but no details to add interest to the story. Characters are introduced with some details about who they are.	Excellent Setting in stated. It is unusual, creative setting which creates dramatic tension in story. Characters are introduced and given a good description.
Organization 20 %	Poor Unclear because the events are not in order	Fair Events are in order, but there are gaps	Good Flows in a logical order	Excellent Story has transition words between events and flows from beginning to end
