Topic Choice	Unfinished The student did not choose a topic to research.	Poor The student took more than the allowed time to select a topic to research.	Fair The student chose more than one topic/person to research.	Good The student chose one person to research and only presented information about that topic.
Information	Unfinished The student found no criteria about the topic to research.	Poor The student did not follow the criteria to be researched.	Fair The student followed some of the criteria to be researched.	Good The student researched all required criteria and included the criteria in the report.
Spelling and Grammar	Unfinished The student did not use complete sentences, 10 or more spelling or grammatical errors.	Poor The student did not use complete sentences, 5-9 spelling or grammatical errors.	Fair The student used complete sentences, 1-5 grammatical or spelling errors.	Good The student used complete sentences and had no spelling or grammatical errors.
Overall Appearance	Unfinished The report was unfinished or not turned in at all.	Poor The report is llegible.	Fair The report is not in student's best handwriting.	Good The report is written neatly and clearly.
