Individual Oral Presentation Individual Oral Presentation This rubric can be used in any situation where the student is asked to present on a topic. It could be used to evaluate a one-on-one situation with a peer or the teacher. It could also be used to evaluate a presentation given to the class. Oral Presentation

Vocabulary	Working out the wrinkles student often uses english words when communicating	Confident conversationalist student speaks in french with frequent or intermittant word repetitions.	Key note speaker! student is able to use a variety of different word combinations to express his or her thoughts/opinions.
Syntax and Grammar	Working out the wrinkles student is frequently unable to use appropriate tenses correctly and students sentence structure is such that comprehension is sometimes difficult	Confident conversationalist student uses appropriate verb tenses with few errors and student is able to communicate in short but correct sentences in the target language	Key note speaker! student uses appropriate verb tenses with almost no errors and student is able to formulate complex sentences with appropriate joining words
Fluency	Working out the wrinkles student often pauses and poor pronunciation interferes with audience comprehension	Confident conversationalist student pauses on occasion but thoughts are mostly expressed fluidly occasional mispronunciation does not affect overall comprehension	Key note speaker! student rarely pauses and expresses thoughts fluidly. incorrect pronunciation is rare and student is easily understood
