PREPARATION
Excellent
Student is always prepared for class with assignments and required materials punctually. Student takes notes/participates without being prompted to.
Good
Student is usually prepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late. Sometimes, student needs to be prompted to take notes/participate.
Fair
Student is frequently unprepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late. Often, student needs to be prompted to take notes/participate.
Poor
Student is almost always unprepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late. Student almost always needs to be prompted to take notes/participate.
LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR
Excellent
Student asks questions, participates in pair/group discussions and does not need to be prompted at all to participate.
Good
Student asks questions, and participates in pair/group discussions. May have to be prompted to participate.
Fair
Student rarely participates in class, struggles with pair/group discussions. May have to be prompted two or three times to participate.
Poor
Student never participates in class, does not participate in pair/group discussions. May have to be prompted to participate four or more times.
ATTITUDE
Excellent
Student always presents a positive attitude towards the course, their fellow students, and their teacher.
Good
Student usually presents a positive attitude towards the course, their fellow students, and their teacher.
Fair
Student sometimes presents a positive attitude towards the course, their fellow students, and their teacher.
Poor
Student never presents a positive attitude towards the course, their fellow students, and their teacher.
Work
Bellwork and Classwork
Excellent
Student always completes all work assigned to the best of each students ability. Accuracy is near or at 100%.
Good
Student completes all or most work to the best of their ability with 80% or more accuracy.
Fair
Student does not complete work and has less than 50% accuracy.
Poor
Student does not try to complete work.
