	Outstanding Student did an excellent job on his/her presentation. 15 pts	GOOD Work Student did a very good job on their presentation, with lots of room for improvement. 12 pts	Acceptable Student did a good job on their presentation, putting forth little to no effort. 9 pts	Unprepared Student was unprepared. 6 pts
Book Information Student provides general information about the book	Outstanding Student is able to present the title of the book, the author of the book and give a thorough description of the story.	GOOD Work Student is able to present the title and author but gives a brief description of the book.	Acceptable The student is able to present the title of the book but does not tell the author and/or little information about the book.	Unprepared The student does not present the title, or the author of the book.
Evaluation/Opinion Student shares his/her opinion of the book.	Outstanding Student ended the presentation with a concluding sentence that persuaded listener to read the book. Or the student gave an honest opinion of the book explaining why he/she could not be enthusiastic about it.	GOOD Work Student ended with a concluding sentence that persuaded listener to read the book. Or the student gave an honest opinion of the book explaining why he/she could not be enthusiastic about it.	Acceptable Student gave an honest opinion of the book explaining why he/she could not be enthusiastic about it.	Unprepared The student did not give an evaluation of the book.
Preparedness The student is ready to give their presentation on the due date	Outstanding The student is well prepared to give his/her presentation, and it is obvious that the student rehearsed.	GOOD Work The student is somewhat prepared to give his/her presentation, and it is appears that the student could have used more time to rehearse.	Acceptable The student is not prepared to give his/her presentation, and it is obvious that the student did not rehearse.	Unprepared It is obvious that the student did not read the book.
Organization Student shows organization through out the his/her report.	Outstanding Student stays focused the topic through out his/her report. Student gives references when using quotes from the book. Student uses transition words when starting a new paragraphs. Student does not plagiarize his/her report.	GOOD Work Student stays focused on topic through out his/her report. Student uses transition words occasionally when starting a new paragraph. Student does not plagiarize his/her report.	Acceptable Student does not stay focused on topic. Student very seldom uses transition words.	Unprepared Student plagiarizes his/her entire report.
Grammar and spelling Student is aware of the use of correct grammar.	Outstanding Student uses correct subject and verb agreement in his/her presentation.	GOOD Work Student uses correct subject and verb agreement in the report. Student has less than 3 errors.	Acceptable Student uses correct subject and verb agreement in the report. Student more than 5 errors.	Unprepared Student did not present the report.
