Students can earn a maximum of four points for each class session, for a total of 112 points for the entire semester.

Student is more than five minutes late to class and frequently requests to leave the room.

Student is 3-5 minutes late to class, and may occasionally ask to leave the room.

Level of Engagement

Poor

Student is not able or willing to answer questions or respond to instructor requests. Student appears to be sleeping in class or engaging in non-class-related activities.
Fair

Student occasionally appears distracted, and can/will only respond if questions are repeated or assistance and clarification are provided.
Good

Student does not volunteer but appears attentive and is able to answer and respond to all instructor requests without repetition or assistance.
Great

Student is attentive, actively contributes to discussions, and responds to all instructor requests.
Respect for Others

Poor

Student does not listen to others and interupts. Student regularly says inappropriate or disruptive comments.
Fair

Student rarely listens to others without interupting. Student occasionally says inappropriate or disruptive comments.

Student usually listens to others without interupting. Student rarely says inappropriate or disruptive comments.

Student always listens to others without interupting. Student never says inappropriate or disruptive comments.

Poor

Student is unprepared for class. They do not have their workbook or other necessary materials, and have not completed required readings and/or assignments.
Fair

Student is partially prepared for class. They do not have their workbook or necessary materials, but have completed their readings and/or assignments.
Good

Student comes to class mostly prepared. They have their workbook or other necessary materials, but may not have completed their readings and/or assignments.
Great

Student comes to class prepared, brings their workbook or other necessary materials, and has completed all readings and/or assignments.
