Classroom Expections
The following rubric is so students and parents will know what is expected of students regarding effort in doing class assignments: participation, cooperation, thoroughness in doing assignments, individual/group work, critical/creative thinking, etcetera.

Student had to be asked to complete his/her job assignment by group members or the teacher.

Student completed the job task he/she was assigned but with guidance from the team or the teacher.

Student completed the job task he/she was assigned in a positive way and did not take on duties of another student.
Verbal Participation
Poor
Student does not participate at all.
Fair
Student is slow to participate and contribute. Only participates 50% of class time, and then only when called on.
Good
Student participates and contributes for 75% of class time, always when called on.
Excellent
Student is constantly active in participation and contributes for 90% or more of class time.
Cooperation
Poor
Student does not follow directions and rules. Student argues with classmates or instructor. Does not follow other students leadership and does not lead other students in learning.
Fair
Student follows directions and rules 50% of class time. Occasionally argues with others. Is reluctant to follow other students leadership and lead others in learning.
Good
Student follows directions and rules for the majority of class. Follows other students leadership as well as directs others in learning.
Excellent
Student follows directions and rules entire class time. Follows and encourages other students leadership as well as directs others in learning.
Individual Assignments
Poor
No assignment turned in or showed no effort, did not work any of the assignments.
Fair
Partial assignments completed. Put forth some effort and tried to work some of the assignment. No notes.
Good
All assignments completed but with some errors. Showed work on assignment. Put forth a good effort. Notes were taken.
Excellent
All assignments completed with no errors. Showed worked on assignment. Put forth a lot of effort. Notes are well organized.
Group Work
Poor
Student was unable to enhance his/her group's project due to being off task or unwilling to work with the group.
Fair
Student participated with his/her group in with minimal interaction.
Good
Student participated with his/her group. Student added some ideas to the group list.
Excellent
Student participated with his/her group and offered many ideas to add to the group list.
Critical/Creative Thinking
Poor
Students/groups didn't complete assignment and listed less than 3 observations.
Fair
Student/group didn't complete assignment but listed 3-6 observations.
Good
Student/group completed assignment with 3-6 observations.
Excellent
Student/group completed assignment with at least 7 observations.
Homework
Poor
Incomplete or missing homework. Has no knowledge of the content.
Fair
Completed some of the homework assignment. Has some knowledge of the content. Paper is torn, dirty, has a lot of erasures.
Good
Homework is completed but with help. Work is neatly typed. They can explain most of the content, needing reminders for the rest
Excellent
Completed all homework pages. Work is neatly typed, and they can explain their answers. All work is clean, no stray marks, no holes.
