Front Cover	Excellent Cover includes title, author, and illustration reflecting originality and creativity with a unique design that shows an excellent understanding of the novel.	Good Cover includes title, author, and illustration relating to the novel neatly completed.	Fair Cover includes title, author and illustration but with little attention to neatness and/or relation to the novel.	Poor Any or all cover requirements missing and/or lack of creativity, organization, neatness.
Front Inside Flap	Excellent Flap includes a clear, concise and sequential summary of all vital information without giving away the ending. Summary is organized into well thought out paragraphs that are easy to follow and discuss the main events and characters.	Good Flap has a summary that is organized into paragraphs and discusses a few events and characters.	Fair Flap has an incomplete summary that is not organized into paragraphs, is difficult to follow and is lacking discussion of events and characters.	Poor Flap has a summary that is minimal and confusing or omitted.
Back Cover	Excellent Critique shows depth, originality and a great understanding of the novel. Opinions are well supported.	Good Critique shows some depth, originality and understanding of the novel. Opinions are somewhat supported.	Fair Critique lacks depth, originality and understanding of the novel. Opinions are unclear.	Poor Critique is missing and/or is not original and/or opinions are missing.

Good Flap includes a biography of the author written in student's own words	Fair Flap includes a biography of the author written in the student's own words, but it lacks important information.
