Student does not have grasp of information; student cannot answer questions about subject. Student has not done adequate research on the subject.
Fair

Student is uncomfortable with information and is able to answer only rudimentary questions. Student has done adequate research on the subject.
Good

Student is at ease with expected answers to all questions, but fails to elaborate. Student has researched the subject fairly well.
Excellent

Student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) by answering all class questions with explanations and elaboration. Student has clearly done a very thorough job researching the subject.
Use of Technology

Poor

Student does not use technology or uses it to excess; it is a liability
Fair

Student uses technology and graphics that sometimes support presentation.
Good

Student uses technology and graphics to support presentation on a consistent basis.
Excellent

Student uses technology and graphics to maximize the impact and meaning of the presentation.
Mechanics

Student's presentation has four or more spelling errors and/or grammatical errors.

Presentation has three misspellings and/or grammatical errors.
Good

Presentation has no more than two misspellings and/or grammatical errors.
Excellent

Presentation has no misspellings or grammatical errors.
Eye Contact, Elocution

Poor

Student reads all of report with little eye contact, mumbles, struggles with terms, and is difficult to hear clearly.
Fair

Student occasionally uses eye contact, but still reads from notes. Student occasionally misspeaks or mispronounces words. Vocal clarity is at times an issue.
Good

Student maintains eye contact most of the time but occasionally returns to notes. Student's voice is clear. Student enunciates well. Audience members can hear presentation.
Excellent

Student maintains eye contact with audience throughout presentation. Student uses a clear voice and correct pronunciation
All audience members can hear presentation. Student delivery is alive!
