Planning/Prewrite (weighted x 2)	Superior -Pre-write sheet is completed in its entirety -Setting, Event, and Effect are clearly described for each event -Pre-write sheet reflects exceptional student effort and quality	Good -Pre-write sheet is completed in its entirety -Setting, Event, and Effect are briefly described for each event -Pre-write sheet reflects expected student effort and quality	Fair -Pre-write sheet is partially completed -Setting, Event, and Effect are partly described for most events -Pre-write sheet reflects some student effort but is limited in quality	Poor -Pre-write sheet is not completed -Setting, Event, and Effect are not described for any events -Pre-write sheet reflects minimal student effort
Requirements (weighted x 2)	Superior -1.5 minutes or longer - At least 5 appropriate transitions are included -Title Page with Title of project & student name -Conclusion/credits page	Good - Between 1 - 1.5 minutes long - At least 3 appropriate transitions included -Title Page with Title of project & student name -Conclusion/credits page	Fair - Between 45 seconds -1 minute long - At least 1 appropriate transition included -Title Page with Title of project & student name (1 or more missing) -Conclusion/credits page	Poor - less than 45 seconds long - No/Inappropriate transitions included -Title page & Credits did not meet minimum requirements
Content (weighted x2)	Superior -Movie includes a complete description of 3 important life events (including the setting, event, and effect of each) -Event descriptions demonstrate complete understanding of summarizing & determining importance	Good -Movie includes a mostly complete description of 3 important life events (including the setting, event, and effect of each) -Event descriptions demonstrate some understanding of summarizing & determining importance	Fair -Movie includes a partial description of 3 important life events (including the setting, event, and effect of some) -Event descriptions demonstrate incomplete understanding of summarizing & determining importance	Poor -Movie includes a description of less than 3 life events -Description of life events is unclear and incomplete (missing 2 of the following : setting, event, effect) -Event descriptions do not basic understanding of summarizing & determining importance
Images	Superior -Images create a distinct atmosphere or tone that matches different parts of the story. -Images are related to, and supplement the narration of the autobiography	Good -Images create an atmosphere or tone that matches some parts of the story. -Most images are related to, and supplement the narration of the autobiography	Fair -An attempt was made to use images to create an atmosphere/tone but it needed more work. -Some images are related to, and supplement the narration of the autobiography	Poor -Little or not attempt to use images to create an appropriate atmosphere/tone. -No images are related to, or supplement the narration of the autobiography
Voice Pacing & Consistency	Superior -Voice quality is clear and consistently audible throughout the presentation.	Good -Occasionally speaks too fast or too slowly for the story line. The pacing is relatively engaging for the audience.	Fair -Tries to use pacing, but it is often noticeable that the pacing does not fit the story line.	Poor -No attempt to match the pace of the story telling to the story line or the audience.
