Must See This Movie!

Clips are chosen appropriately. Clips are short and filled with action, or other relevant moments from the film.
Rotten Tomatoes Review...

Clips are chosen appropriately for the most part, with a few missteps here and there. Most clips are short and relevant to trailer, some clips may be a bit lengthy.
Netflix/Amazon

Clips chosen do not add to trailer and are weak. Majority of clips are lengthy, instead of short. Clips do not contain relevant material from the movie. Does not coincide with writing, or VO.
DVD Bargain Bin. Maybe.

Poor/Omitted
Editing/Continuity

Must See This Movie!

Solid understanding of editing. In and out points were properly chosen. Scenes do not get chopped mid action, but instead, action is played out.
Rotten Tomatoes Review...

For the most part, good understanding of editing. In and out points were placed appropriately, for the most part. Few scenes were chopped, and were of appropriate length, with a few exceptions. Action, for the most part, was played out.
Netflix/Amazon

Basic to weak understanding of editing basics. Lengthy clips. In and out points are erratic and confusing. Action is interrupted and choppy.
DVD Bargain Bin. Maybe.

Poor/Omitted
Camera Angles/Shots

Must See This Movie!

All required camera angles/shots & special effects are included in the trailer & enhanced the viewing experience rather than detracting from the trailer.
Rotten Tomatoes Review...

For the most part, good use of camera angles/shots & special effects. Several required angles/shots and/or effects were missing, but the use of those present improved the overall quality of the trailer.
Netflix/Amazon

Camera angles/shots & special effects were rarely used as instructed. When used, the angles/shots & effects were ineffective & added nothing to engage the viewer.
DVD Bargain Bin. Maybe.

Poor/Omitted
Storyboard

Must See This Movie!

Storyboard illustrates the video presentation structure with sketches of each scene. Proposed dialogue and shots are included. All sketches are in a logical order and match the finished project exclusively.
Rotten Tomatoes Review...

Storyboard illustrates the video presentation with some sketches of each scene. Some proposed dialogue or shots are included. Some of the sketches are in order and match the finished project.
Netflix/Amazon

Storyboard lacks the video presentation and includes little to no sketches of scenes. None of the scenes are in logical order and follow the finished project. No dialogue or shots included.
DVD Bargain Bin. Maybe.

Poor/Omitted

Must See This Movie!

Titles/Tagline add something special to the trailer, and does not detract from overall trailer.
Rotten Tomatoes Review...

Titles/Tagline lack in a few places, but overall, it does not greatly detracts from the trailer.
Netflix/Amazon

Titles/Tagline detracts from trailer, as it adds little to nothing to the overall trailer.
DVD Bargain Bin. Maybe.

Music stirs a rich sense emotional response that matches the trailer's story line well.
Rotten Tomatoes Review...

Music stirs emotion that somewhat matches the trailer's story line.
