	Deficient Shows a lack of any serious effort in this aspect. 5 pts	Basic Complies with this elelment (no less, no more). 15 pts	Exceptional Has done an exceptional job in this area. 25 pts
Cociseness & Thoroughness 25 % Enter description	Deficient Is either too brief or too wordy according to the lower and upper word count limits stipulated for this discussion forum and does not adequately answer the discussion question.	Basic Is within the lower and upper word count limits stipulated for this discussion forum but does not adequately answer the discussion question.	Exceptional Is within the lower and upper word count limits stipulated for this discussion forum and fully answers the discussion question.
Timeliness 25 % Enter description	Deficient Student waits until the end of the week to complete all Does not clearly relate to course concepts and reading; the posts	Basic Initial post was either late (after 11:59 PM Wednesday) or failed to respond in a timely manner to the other students’ posts	Exceptional Student wrote initial post early in the week and then responded appropriately to the other students later in the week
