Catering a Spanish Gala Event in Spain Catering a Spanish Gala Event in Spain You have been assigned to come up with an entire presentation for some upscale wealthy clients of your catering business. They want to plan an event for 50 people. Money is no object. You pick the event, location (city), venue, decorations, coverted recipes, and the menu. Research and present your information to the class in presentation form, which includes a visual representation (bulletin board or power point). The presentation must be 4-5 minutes in length and every person must present. Everything must be in Spanish. Creativity/Effort	Excelente The visual aid is colorful and attractive, and has nice pictures that add greatly to the presentation. It consists of the proper balance of words and visuals.	Bueno The visual aid is helpful, but not does not add to the presentation. It does not contain enough visual information.	Pobre The visual aid lacks pictures and attractiveness. It looks as if just thrown together.
Oral Presentation	Excelente Presents the information in a organized, detailed and logical way in the alotted time frame and everyone spoke 6 sentences in Spanish.	Bueno The presentation is somewhat organized but lacks cohesiveness. It does not quite meet the time requirements or not everyone spoke in Spanish or most only spoke 4-5 sentences.	Pobre The presentation lacks organization and structure and is considerably shorter than the 4-5 minutes required or no one spoke in Spanish or most of group only spoke 3 or less Spanish sentences.
Menu	Excelente The menu may be in English and contains at least 1 course in each of the following: Appetizer, Soup/Salad, Main Dish, and Dessert. Has at least 4 different beverages served.	Bueno The menu may be in English and contains at least 1 course three of the following: Appetizer, Soup/Salad, Main Dish, and Dessert. Has at least 3 different beverages served.	Pobre The menu may be in English and contains at least 1 course in 1 or 2 of the following: Appetizer, Soup/Salad, Main Dish, and Dessert. Has at least 1 beverages served.
Recipes	Excelente Contains recipes for all food on the menu and pictures for at least 3 items on the menu. A copy of all original recipes were handed into teacher, converted recipes are posted on visual aid.	Bueno Contains recipes for at least 3 foods on the menu and at least 2 pictures. A copy of all original recipes were handed into teacher and/or converted recipes are posted on visual aid.	Pobre Contains recipes for 1-2 foods on the menu and at least 1 picture and/or no copy of original recipes were handed into teacher, and/or no converted recipes are posted on visual aid.
Venue/Decorations	Excelente Pictures and labeling of both Venue and Decorations.	Bueno Pictures and labeling of either Venue or Decorations.	Pobre No Pictures and labeling of either Venue or Decorations.
