Memory Bag Report 
Students will read a nonfiction book and select objects to recall each element of plot. They will use the objects to give the class a summary presentation of the story.

Student uses 3 objects to symbolize some the important events of the plot and includes no irrelvent objects or events.
Fair

Student uses 1-2 objects to symbolize some of the important events of the plot, but includes objects for irrelevent events.
Poor

Student uses no objects or objects to symbolize very few of the important events and most objects are for irrelevent events.
Presentation

Presented on date it is due.

Excellent

Presented orally to the class on the date due. Student accurately uses objects to tell the story orally.
Good

Presented to the class on the date due. Student is mostly accurate in retelling the story orally with the objects.
Fair

Student is missing one of the following:

1) the presentation is late or not given at all

2) the objects are not accurate

3)
Poor

Does not present story orally and/or does not have objects
Grammar

Double check your work.

Excellent

Name, date, title, perfect punctuation, capitalization, spelling (even tough words you looked up in the dictionary), neat handwriting.
Good

Name, date and title,
1-2 minor grammar errors throughout on ending punctuation, or capitalization beginning of sentences, or spelling and neat handwriting.
Fair

Name, date and title,
3 grammar errors throughout on ending punctuation, or capitalization beginning of sentences, or spelling and/or poor handwriting.
Poor

Name, date and title,
4 or more grammar errors throughout on ending punctuation, or capitalization beginning of sentences, or spelling and/very poor handwriting.
