Most pictures and doodles add to understanding and do not distract from the topic.	UNSATISFACTORY Notes are a combination of neat and legible and messy and illegible, making them ineffective as a study tool and will not be of any benefit during the unit test. Pictures and doodles are distracting and many do not pertain to the topic.
Completeness/Use of Space	EXCEEDS There are dated notes for every day that class was taking notes. There are no gaps, unused pages in between notes or wasted space.	MEETS There are dated notes for most days that class was taking notes or there are only a few gaps, unused pages or wasted space.	UNSATISFACTORY There are missing days of notes for more than three days or There are lots of gaps and wasted space in the journal.
