Intentional Read Alouds

Voice	Level 1 Student speaks unclearly and uses little voice expression.	Level 2 Student speaks clearly for some of the time and uses some voice expression. Book Selection	Level 1 Selected a book that was not appropriate and had no message or moral	Level 2 Selected a book that was interesting, but had no message or moral.	Level 3 Selected a book that was interesting and had some message or moral.	Level 4 Selected a book with a very interesting theme with a strong moral or message.
Presentation/Before Activity	Level 1 Poor introduction to book. Did not consider audience or plan for interaction.	Level 2 Introduced book but did not describe or build necessary connections.
