It assesses how a student interacts with ideas and participates during discussion. Level of Engagement	Excellent Proactively contributed to activity by offering ideas and asking questions more than TWO times.	Good Proactively contributed to activity by offering ideas and asking questions ONE TO TWO times.	Fair Contributed to activity by offering ideas and asking questions ONE time.	Poor No contribution to activity by offering ideas and ZERO questions asked.
Responding	Excellent Student REGULARLY RESPONDED (three or more times) to both the teacher and classmates' questions, ideas, and opinions.	Good Student OFTEN RESPONDED (one to two times) to both the teacher and classmates' questions, ideas, and opinions.	Fair Student RARELY RESPONDED (one time) to both the teacher and classmates' questions, ideas, and opinions.	Poor Student NEVER RESPONDED to both the teacher and classmates' questions, ideas, and opinions.
