Particiaption	U The student does not participate in class. He/she rarely volunteers to answer questions and has to be prompted more that 60% of the time to answer.	N The student does participate in class. He/she volunteers to answer questions. He/she needs to be prompted at least 50% to answer questions from the teacher.	S The student participates in class. He/she is eager to answer questions and requires little prompting from the teacher to answer question.
Daily Work	U The student completes little of the daily work assigned. He/she performs with less than 49% on work assigned in DOL, reading, worksheets, reading and phonics skills.	N The student completes the daily work assigned. He/she performs with 50-79% on work assigned in DOL, reading, worksheets, reading and phonics skills.	S The student completes all of the daily work assigned. He/she performs with less than 80%or higher on work assigned in DOL, reading, worksheets, reading and phonics skills.
Assessments	U The student completes the assessments for reading, spelling and language at 49% or less.	N The student completes the assessments for reading, spelling and language at 50-79% accuracy.	S The student completes the assessments for reading, spelling and language at 80% or higher.
Skills	U The student is not applying the skills learned in phonics and reading to other areas of academics.	N The student is applying the skills learned in phonics and reading to the other areas of academics with prompting from the teacher.	S The student is applying the skills learned in phonics and reading to the other areas of academics without prompting.
