Presentation attempts to maintain focus on the chosen topic but there are obvious lapses in logical sequence or irrelevant details that subtract from the intention of the presentation.
Good

Presentation maintains focus throughout much of the delivery. There are a few lapses in logical sequence of information or inclusion of irrelevant details.
Excellent

Presentation maintains focus on chosen topic throughout. Information is presented logically and thoroughly and is relevant to topic.
Delivery/Length

Poor

Student reads all of the presentation from notes or slides with no eye contact. Student does not seem to understand the material being presented. Length of presentation falls well below the given guidelines.
Fair

Student occasionally uses eye contact, but still reads most of presentation from notes or slides. Student displays a limited understanding of the material being presented. Length of the presentation is not adequate to cover the material and falls below requirement.
Good

Student maintains eye contact most of the time but frequently returns to notes. Students demonstrates an understanding of the material being presented. Length is appropriate to the presentation but may fall short of the requires guidelines.
Excellent

Student maintains eye contact with audience, seldom returning to notes and demonstrates a thorough understanding of material being presented. Length of presentation is within the specified guidelines.
Elocution

Poor

Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear.
Fair

Student's voice is low. Student incorrectly pronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation.
Good

Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation.
Excellent

Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation.
