Class Participation rubric
	Rarely Participates 5 pts	Sometime Participates 8 pts	Always Participates 10 pts
Preparation	Rarely Participates Rarely takes an active role in their own learning. Has read very little if any material.	Sometime Participates Sometimes takes an active role in learning. Has usually read the material.	Always Participates Always takes an active role in their own learning. Consistently reads the class material.
Open to Personal Risk	Rarely Participates Does not participate and rarely if ever shares ideas or asks questions.	Sometime Participates Shares ideas and asks appropriate questions.	Always Participates Challenges themselves daily. Share ideas with teacher and classmates. Initiates discussions.
respect for others	Rarely Participates Displays poor listening skills. Consistently talks or engages in other activities while others are speaking. General disrespect for classroom decorum.	Sometime Participates Sometimes listens to classmates and respects opinions of others. Some off task behavior.	Always Participates Listens respectfully to classmates and instructor and responds to comments in a respectful fashion.
