Frequency of participation How well do I take part in Class discussions and activities?	Working toward I talk too much--do not allow other to contribute to the dicussion OR I do not talk at all OR I distract others.	Working at I talk too much sometimes so others cannnot talk OR sometimes I distract others OR sometimes I don't say anything.	Working beyond I contribute to the discussion without talking over others, allow others to speak, and am quiet while others are talking.
Relevance When I speak am I on task?	Working toward I say things alot that are not about what we are talking about OR what I say doesn't make sense to my peers and I am difficult to understand.	Working at Sometimes I repeat what others have said and don't give new information OR I talk about things we are not discussing.	Working beyond I only talk about the topic and I provide new information to the discussion.
Speaking and Listening Am I respectful of others?	Working toward I talk about myself--not what I am suppose to talk about OR I interrupt others alot, OR I am disrespectful of my peers or teacher.	Working at I usually talk about what I am suppose to OR I only interrupt sometimes OR I am usually respectful toward others.	Working beyond I listen respectfully to others. I talk about the topic. I do not interrupt others. I ask and answer questions.
