	Below expectation 1 pts	Near expectation 2 pts	Meets expectation 3 pts	Exceeds expectation 4 pts
Organization Beginning, middle, and end.	Below expectation Audience cannot understand presentation because there is no sequence of information.	Near expectation Audience has difficulty following presentation because student jumps around.	Meets expectation Student presents information in logical sequence which audience can follow.	Exceeds expectation Student presents information in logical, interesting sequence which audience can follow.
Eye Contact Look at your audience.	Below expectation Student retells the story with no eye contact.	Near expectation Student occasionally uses eye contact.	Meets expectation Student maintains eye contact most of the time.	Exceeds expectation Student maintains eye contact with audience through the entire report.
Elocution How you speak.	Below expectation Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for all students and teacher to hear.	Near expectation Student's voice is low. Student incorrectly pronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation.	Meets expectation Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation.	Exceeds expectation Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation.
Presentation Content How well you analyze.	Below expectation Student attempts 1 or 2 comparisons between his/her original work and the researched work.
