Able to convert the bubble diagram into a floor plan using some of the architectural symbols for windows, doors, and walls. Somewhat drawn to scale. Very little concern with the quality of the elevation drawing.

The Dream Home is not created to the scale of the model. The use of space isn't consistent with the scale picked by the students. Space isn't considered in the model as an important feature.

Some use of scale is evident. Very little thought on how the space would be used as a feature in the house.

The Dream Home is created to scale and works in the house space. Most of the interior features are to scale for the client. The use of space in the house was considered some of the time

Scale is evident throughout the house. The use of space was thought out throughout the model. Elements of light and movement are present.
model building

Poor

Not able to build a model. Difficulty working with the model material and constructing a 3D piece from 2D materials.

Able to build a model but with structural problems. Difficulty with tools, materials.

Model is structurally solid. Ability to use tools and materials correctly. Some consideration to archtectural details of light & texture.
Excellent

Model is built structually sound. Evidence of accurate use of tools and materials. Evidence of architectural features such as windows, doors, external texture.
Presentation

Poor

Unable to present drawings and model of house. Not able to describe the thought process behind the design.
Fair

Able to present some of the drawings and the model. Unable to describe the thought process behind the design.
Good

Able to present most of the drawings. Able to describe the thought process behind the design.
Excellent

Able to present the drawings. Description of the house clearly indicates there was a thought process behind the design. The model clearly follows the design so it can be viewed in 3 dimensions.
