Preparation is obvious. Performer knows what they are doing and it is obvious that a lot of practice has gone into the role. Some lines are memorized from the script.

Some preparation has taken place. Performer knows most of his/her role. Some practice has taken place as a few lines are memorized from the script.
Fair

Parts of the act were forgotten and/or lines were misread. It is clear that the role was not practiced much.

Stage Presence

Excellent

Student sits, stands, or displays appropriate stage presence and is professional in his/her conduct at all times. Script was not in front of speaker's face and back was not towards the audience.

Student mostly shows appropriate stage presence and conduct while acting and off stage. Student's back was occasionally to the audience and/or script partially covered speaker's face.

Student shows some stage presence but needs to remain engaged during the entire performance. Script was often in the speaker's face and he/she did not face the audience.
