Time Management	Improvement Needed Rarely gets things done by the deadlines. No parts of the assignment are completed on time.	Fair Tends to procrastinate, but always gets things done by the deadlines. Some parts of the assignment are completed and turned in on time.	Good Usually uses time well throughout the project, but may have procrastinated on one thing. Most parts of the assignment are completed and turned in on time.	Excellent Routinely uses time well throughout the project to ensure things get done on time. All parts of the assignment are completed and turned in on time.
Focus on the task	Improvement Needed Rarely focuses on the task and what needs to be done. Consistently needs refocusing (3+ times) within class.	Fair Focuses on the task and what needs to be done some of the time, occasionally needs refocusing (2-3 times) within class.	Good Focuses on the task and what needs to be done most of the time refocusing rarely needed (once only) within class.	Excellent Consistently stays focused on the task and what needs to be done. Very self-directed.
Preparedness	Improvement Needed Often forgets needed material or is rarely ready to get to work by the bell.	Fair Almost always brings needed materials but sometimes needs to settle down and get to work by the bell.	Good Almost always brings needed materials to class and is ready to work by the bell.	Excellent Brings needed material to class and is always ready to work by the bell.
Attitude	Improvement Needed Often is publicly critical (often negatively) of the project, tasks, or the work of other classmates.	Fair Occasionally is publicly critical (sometimes negatively)of the project, tasks or the work of other classmates.	Good Rarely is publicly critical (often positively) of the project, tasks, or the work of others.	Excellent Never (or only positively) is publicly critical of the project or the work of others.
Participation	Improvement Needed Student does not participate, or the student wastes time or works on unrelated material.	Fair Student participates but wastes time regularly or is rarely on task.	Good Student participates most of the time and is on task most of the time.	Excellent Student participates fully and is always on task in class.
Listening	Improvement Needed Student never listens to others or interrupts often.	Fair Student listens some of the time and occassionally interrupts.	Good Student listens most of the time and seldom interrupts.	Excellent Student listens to others and obviously pays attention to what they have to say.
