Organization of Map

The concept under consideration is central. Definitions and characteristics of the central concept flow outward from the central concept in an ordered style so that each subtopic clearly relates back to the central concept.

Excellent

The main idea is supported by details, the categories make sense, and the reader is able to follow and understand what is written.
Acceptable

The main idea is supported by details, some categories do not make sense, and at times the reader is not able to follow what is written.
Not Acceptable

There is no recognizable pattern to the ideas. They seem to be a list of thoughts that confuse the reader.
Depth

Subtopics coming off the central concept further describe or define the central concept. Each subtopic and accompanying ideas develops the central concept more fully and visually.

Excellent

The map has at least 3 subtopics and a minimum of 2 ideas under each subtopic.
Acceptable

The map has 2 subtopics and/or is missing the required amount of ideas under each subtopic.
Not Acceptable

The map has only 1 subtopic and/or is missing ideas under each subtopic.
Design

Each subtopic and connected ideas are clearly laid out and connected so that flow is quickly discernible.

Excellent

The map is well layed out, the font is a good size, and it easy to read.
Acceptable

Some ideas are difficult to read, but the overall layout is good.

The layout is poor and difficult to read.
Creativity

Each subtopic and ideas are creatively distinguished using colors, font style changes, icons and images as desired to make the map visually appealing and easier to understand.

The map is interesting to the eye and uses colors that work well together.
Acceptable

Some of the colors do not work well together making parts of the map difficult to read.

The colors are conflicting, and it is very difficult to read the map.
Conclusion

Minimum 1 page summation of literature review to include definition and application of the concept as determined from literature review using at least 5 sources, 3 of which must be nursing sources. Analyzes definition and application in nursing according to Biblical principles.
States position regarding use and application as consistent or not consistent with Biblical principles.

Excellent

Concisely defines concept and shows current application according to literature review with minimum of 5 sources — at least 3 nursing.
Clearly states position regarding concept as either Biblical or non-Biblical and provides supporting evidence.
Acceptable

Defines concept and shows current application according to literature review. Does not use 5 sources or at least 3 nursing sources.
States position but supporting evidence unclear or weak.
