Presentation Rubric
	Excellent 5 pts	Good 4 pts	Fair 3 pts	Poor 2 pts
Subject Knowledge	Excellent The Presenter has a very good grasp of the historical information they are presenting.	Good The Presenter adequately has a grasp of the historical information they are presenting.	Fair The Presenter somewhat has a grasp of the historical information they are presenting.	Poor The Presenter does not have grasp of the historical information they are presenting.
Posture and Eye Contact	Excellent Stands up straight, looks relaxed and confident. Establishes eye contact with everyone in the room during the presentation and holds their attention. Seldom looks at notes.	Good Stands up straight and maintains eye contact most of the time but frequently returns to notes.	Fair Some times stands straight and displays minimal eye contact with the audience. Reads most of notes or report.	Poor Slouches and /or does not establish eye contact with the audience during the presentation. Student reads all of notes or report.
Preparedness	Excellent Student is completely prepared and has obviously rehearsed.	Good Student seems pretty prepared but might have needed a couple more rehearsals.	Fair Student is somewhat prepared but it is clear that rehearsal was lacking	Poor Student does not seem at all prepared to present.
Delivery	Excellent Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation.	Good Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation.	Fair Student's voice is low. Student incorrectly pronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation.	Poor Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear.
Time Limit	Excellent Presentation is 5-8 minutes long.	Good Presentation if 4 minutes long.	Fair Presentation is 3 minutes long.	Poor Presentation is less than 2 minutes or more than 8 minutes.
