Toilet.

Scrub inside of toilet with brush. Scrub other parts of the toilet with paper towels or Lysol wipes and then throw them out. Scrub the floor around the toilet by hand with paper towels or wipes (the parts you can’t reach with a mop.)

Poor

Some evidence of cleaning but the toilet still has dirt under the rim or a ring at water level. Outside of the bowl has not been wiped down.
Fair

Toilet bowl clean but still dirt under rims that you have to bend down to see. Outside of toilet not cleaned.
Adequate

Toilet bowl clean but not cleaned around the top of the bowl (under the seat, etc) Outside might be wiped down.
Exemplary

Toilet very clean inside, no ring at waterline, no dirt under rims. Toilet seat and UNDERSIDE of toilet seat are clean. Outside of toilet has been wiped down. Floor around toilet that can't be mopped has been washed by hand.
Sink

Scrub sinks with rag and cleaner. Wipe all glass and metal and granite surfaces, faucets, etc. CLEAN the mirror.

Some signs of cleaning but still not very clean, sink still has spots of dirt and/or counter has sticky or dirty spots or soap residue.

Sink OR counter pretty clean but not both. Mirror still has spots.

Sink and counter both clean but metal faucets and/or mirror still not clean.

Mirror clean and without spots. Sink clean and smooth. Metalwork clean and smooth. Counter clean and smooth to the touch--no dirt or soap. Items on the counter have been moved and cleaned under.
Tub and Shower

Wipe down inside of tub and shower. Scrub surfaces so that it's clean and feels smooth. Scrub shower.

Shower and tub partially clean, but major omissions, such as the floor of the shower or the walls.
Adequate

Tub and shower quite clean but still a few small spots of visible dirt, soap or water spots.

Tub and shower clean and smooth, no visible dirt or red tint at all. Shower glass or tile clean, no spots.
Floor.

Get everything off the floor and put in appropriate place, such as the dirty laundry or under the sink. Rugs/bathmats should be washed. They can go in with the laundry, then dried and returned.

Some indications of cleaning, but still rugs or towels on the floor or visible dirt on the floor. No mopping.

Floor is cleared of debris but still dirty, or floor is quite clean but still covered with rugs and towels.

Floor has been swept and mopped. No visible dirt or spots. No clothing or towels on the floor.
Trash

Take out the trash, replace bag in trashcan, replace bag, replace trashcan where it belongs.

No sign of any cleaning.
Poor

Trash partially emptied.
Fair

Trashcan emptied, trash taken out but no new bag.
Adequate

Trashcan emptied, trash taken out, bag replaced, but trashcan still sitting in the middle of the room.
Exemplary

Trash taken out, new trashbag, trashcan replaced where it belongs, no debris around trashcan.
