Theatre Journal: Theatre Roles Theatre Journal: Theatre Roles After learning the various roles in a theatre and how the departments communicate with each other, students choose a role they would like to have in a theatre production. Students write a journal entry identifying their preferred role, telling why they would like to hold that role. Minimally Meets Expectations Tells what role student would like to have in the theatre, but supporting examples and reasons are weak, unrelated, or lacking in detail. Writing shows some understanding of theatre roles.	Fully Meets Expectations Tells what role student would like to have in the theatre. Supports decision by providing examples and reasons. Writing shows adequate understanding of theatre roles.	Exceeds Expectations Identifies and describes the role student would like to have in the theatre. Provides concise, detailed examples and reasons for decision. May describe an additional role student would like. Writing shows exceptional understanding of theatre roles.
