Student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) of subject matter by going into a fair amount of detail. The student shows that he/she has gained empathy by showing at least one example, and gives two dangers of prejudging people.

Student has only a moderate grasp of the information being delivered. The student shows that he/she gained empathy and gives one danger of prejudging people.
Fair
Student is uncomfortable with information. Does not display a growth of empathy and gives one danger of prejudging people.
Poor
Student does not have grasp of information,often seems confused and unsure of the information being delivered.
Graphics

Student's graphics explain and reinforce screen text and presentation.

Student's graphics relate to text and presentation.

Student occasionally uses graphics that rarely support text and presentation.

Eye Contact
Excellent
Student maintains eye contact with audience, seldom returning to notes.

Student maintains eye contact most of the time, but frequently returns to notes.

Student occasionally uses eye contact, but still reads most of report or visual.

Student reads all of report or visual with no eye contact.
Elocution
Excellent
Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms. All audience members can hear presentation.
Good
Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation.
Fair
Student incorrectly pronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation.
Poor
Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear.
Question/answer response
Excellent
Student is able to answer class questions with explanations and elaboration. Student is able to give examples of events that would demonstrate empathy and those that show prejudice.
Good
Student is at ease with expected answers to all questions, but fails to elaborate. Connections to empathy and prejudging are vague.
Fair
Student is able to answer only rudimentary questions. Cannot make the connection of subject matter to demonstrate empathy or to label as prejudging people.
Poor
Student cannot answer questions about subject.
