Sewing Project - recycled Jeans (bag, purse, bag) 
This rubric will measure the abilities of students to thread a sewing machine and bobbin, use the sewing machine properly and complete a sewing project - using recycled jeans to create either a draw string bag, bum bag or pocket purse.

Student presents completed project in good condition. Has completed all steps in order to present a completed project with minor assistance.
Basic

Student presents completed project in fair condition. Has completed project with maximum assistance.

Student presents uncompleted project in poor condition. Has not completed project with or without assistance.
Non-performance

Student refused to attempt to complete project at all.
Appearance

Student will present their final product and have a n appearance of what this is supposed to look like.

Distinguished

Product construction was correctly shaped and aligned. Seams match correctly. The project has a polished look and is pleasing to the eye.
Proficient

Project has few problems with shapig and alignment. Seams intersect closely. the project has been completed with attention to detail.
Basic

The project has some with shaping and alignment. Seams may be obviously mismatched. The project is lacking visual appeal in some areas.
Below Expectations

The project has problematic areas with shaping and alignment. Seam matching is not appropriate. Visually, the project is not pleasing.

Student does not have a finished product with the appropriate appearance.
