Student Magazine Project 
Create a magazine cover that looks like a real student magazine designed for Early College High School students. Choose the title of the publication. Include a title, photo of YOU, headline article titles, and dateline. Follow the theme of EARLY COLLEGE STUDENTS. Be creative as well as professional. Be aware of the marketability and audience appeal of your magazine. Keep it interesting to anyone not only students that are already here, but Freshmen and any students interested in attending.

Choose a title that can reflect the audience you are trying to reach. It must be school appropriate.

Article Headlines

Great

Article headlines are interesting bringing the audience into the cover. Readers will be tempted to pick up the magazine to read what is inside.

Photo is in focus and utilizes the composition elements. Photo is compelling and brings the reader into the magazine.

You should be on the magazine cover. The background should be removed. A new background is created or placed in a layer underneath your photo.

Photo is not in focus, it lacks clarity, and/ or the subject matter is not in line with magazine. Photo does not bring reader to the cover.

Photo is of poor quality and does not add to the overall quality of the magazine cover. The photo detracts from the magazine.

Graphics/Color

Great

Colors/graphics are used to add interest to the cover. color is used to effectively bring in reader.
