Topic Relevancy Student answered all questions and adds value to the discussion.	Non-performance Post shows no consideration for the topic or assignment requirements; does not add to discussion.	Fair Post shows some consideration for the assignment; adds a little to the discussion.	Good Post reflects topic, the requirements for the assignment and sufficient content and ideas.	Outstanding Post reflects topic, the requirements for the assignment and substantial content and ideas.
Development of Post Student met requirements outlined in the assignment details.	Non-performance Post is not significantly developed or thought-out; does not meet minimum requirements.	Fair Post is not well developed or thought out.	Good Post is basically thought out and ideas are essentially developed. It is respectful of the ideas of others. Meets minimum requirements.	Outstanding Post is well thougt out and ideas are well developed. Post significantly enhances the discussion. It is respectful of the ideas of others. Exceeds minimum requirements.
Standards of Writing Student used proper spelling, grammar, punctuation and structure.	Non-performance Post shows little or no consideration for grammar, sentence structure, punctuation or other writing standards.	Fair Post has substantial grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation errors.	Good Post has few grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation errors.	Outstanding Post is free of substantial grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation errors.
Timeliness Student posted on time.	Non-performance Initial postings not made on initial due dates.	Fair Post responses to other students consistently after deadlines.	Good Initial posting submitted by the deadline but responses to other students are inconsistently submitted by deadlines.	Outstanding All postings always submitted on time.
Participation Student responded meaningfully and provided constructive criticism to at least one peer's work.	Non-performance Did not respond to another student's post.	Fair Response to another student's work was too vague or criticism was inappropriate/harsh.	Good Response to another student was appropriate and constructive. Met minimum requirements.	Outstanding Response to another student was outstanding and went beyond the basic requirements. May have responded to more than one post in this manner.
