A Cause for the Cause Research Project and Presentation Students will research information on an assigned topic and prepare a presentation to convey information to an assigned audience. Content gifted strands, project, autonomous learner	Exceeds Standard The presentation includes all information relevant to the topic in an organized fashion.	Meets Standard Includes most relevant information; information is organized.	Below Standard Does not have all of the relevant information of the paper. Information is disorganized.	Poor The paper is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented.
Work quality/effort	Exceeds Standard The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner. Work was completed ahead of presentation date.	Meets Standard Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner. It is evident that time was put into this project. All work was completed prior to presentation date.	Below Standard Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed or not given appropriate time and attention. Work was not completed in time for presentation.	Poor Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product. Project was being put together after the presentation date
Visual Aid	Exceeds Standard The visual aid has an element of creativity and style. Information is presented in a clear manner with full understanding of the subject.	Meets Standard The visual aid is clear and logical and contains facts with very few mistakes. Information is clear with fair understanding of the subject.	Below Standard The visual aid shows some understanding of the subject matter, but contains errors. It lacks style, neatness and clarity.	Poor The visual aid does not reveal a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. It lacks neatness and clarity.
Oral Presentation	Exceeds Standard The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner. Showed advanced knowledge of subject area.	Meets Standard Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner. It is evident that time was put into this project. Showed good knowledge about subject area.	Below Standard Work showed some effort and indicated the learner was not fully prepared to present.	Poor Work showed lack of preparation and was incomplete.
