Persuasive Paragraph
During World War II, most Americans supported dropping the atomic bomb. Since that time, many people have come to question the ethics of using nuclear weapons. Such weapons, because of their great destructive power, killed civilians on an unprecedented scale. Yet, the non-nuclear German bombing of Britain and the Allied bombing of many German cities also killed thousands of citizens. Thinking about the past (1945) and the present (Post 9-11), do you believe using nuclear weapons is a viable option or should we refrain from using them?
