Movie or Play Critique Rubric
	Extraordinario 5 pts	Mas o Menos 3 pts	Mal 1 pts
Vocabulary	Extraordinario Review incorporates and defines many difficult or new dramatic terms associated with the dramatic concepts in the film/play.	Mas o Menos Review incorporates and defines some of the difficult or new dramatic terms.	Mal Review incorporates and defines little or none of the difficult or dramatic terms.
Summary	Extraordinario Review includes a complete view of the plot and incorporates all dramatic aspects from the film.	Mas o Menos Review missing parts of the plot and several dramatic aspects are covered.	Mal Review includes limited summary about the plot and few dramatic aspects are covered.
Conventions	Extraordinario Proper word usage, tone, and grammar are used. No spelling errors or other writing mistakes are made.	Mas o Menos Word usage, tone, and grammar are partially used. Three or more spelling and/or grammar errors are made.	Mal Word usage doesn't reflect the publication. Tone is off and five or more grammar mistakes are present.
Opinion	Extraordinario Opinion is clear and consise. A grade is awarded to the film (i.e. an "A" or "C")	Mas o Menos Opinion is vague or or wordy. A grade is awarded to the film (i.e. an "A" or "C")	Mal Opinion is wordy and too short. A grade is awarded to the film (i.e. an "A" or "C")
Presentation	Extraordinario Presentation nearly duplicates a design such as the NY Times example. Font is appropriate size and style. Graphics are clear, appropriate sized and strategically placed in review.	Mas o Menos Presentation is similar to a design such as the NY Times example. Font is appropriate size and style. Graphics may or may not be clear, in appropriately sized or not strategically placed in review.	Mal Presentation does not duplicate a design such as the NY Times example. Font is inappropriate in size and style. Graphics are unclear, inappropriately sized and not strategically placed in review, or not present at all.
