Thesis	Fair Thesis feels incomplete, absent, or contains too much summary.	Good Thesis feels original, but may be too limiting or broad in scope.	Excellent Original thesis is analytical, expository, or argumentative, and it puts forth a compelling idea worth writing a major paper about.	COMMENTS
Organization/Outline	Fair Audience has difficulty following presentation because student jumps around or seems ill-prepared.	Good Student presents information in a logical sequence and does not have to rely too heavily on handouts.	Excellent Student presents information in a logical, interesting sequence the audience can follow and enjoy.	COMMENTS
Subject Knowledge/Paper Plans	Fair Student uncomfortable with information and able to answer only rudimentary questions about the project.	Good Student at ease with and invested in the material and answers all questions, but may fail to elaborate.
