Topic Sentence	Outstanding Topic sentence entices the reader.	Good Work Topic sentence explains what the writing will be about.	Progressing Topic sentence does not follow sentence structure or does not fit with the rest of the paragraph.	Poor work There is no topic sentence.
Supporting Details	Outstanding 3 or more supporting details. Sentences flow and make sense. Extra details may be given.	Good Work 3 supporting details that fit together and support the topic.	Progressing 2 supporting details. Sentences may not flow or make sense with the topic.	Poor work 1 or less supporting details. Poor sentence structure or sentences do not follow topic.
