Above Average

Student is always engaged in the activities. Student participates in class activity and is never causes a distraction.
Average

Student is often engaged in the activity but needs a reminder to get back on task at times. Student sometimes forgets to remind others to be involved.
Below Average

Student is rarely engaged in the activity. Student needs a reminder to get back on task, can be distracting to teacher/classmates and is in others physical space.
Poor

Student chooses actions that cause them to miss being involved in the class activity (possibly resulting in a refocus). Student is distracting to the class as a whole and constantly in others physical space.

Above Average

Student completes activity for the class. Student has done required classwork with above average effort.
Average

Student sometimes completes activity and/or is ready with required materials for the class. Student shows a 'middle of the line' or average effort.
Below Average

Student rarely completes activity or holds herself/himself accountable for missing work or not following directions.
Poor

Student did not complete required classwork. Student contributed little or nothing at all to the overall activity and takes no accountability for their actions.

Listening Skills

Above Average

Student always listens to others when they are speaking. Student is respectful when helping others to remember their listening skills.
Average

Student tries to listen to others when they are speaking but needs to be reminded to do so at times. Student helps others to listen for most of the class time.
Below Average

Student has a hard time listening to others and therefore the student needs to constantly be reminded to listen to others.
Poor

Student does not listen to others and consistently interrupts others when they are talking.

Attitude

Above Average

Student is positive about the activities being done in class and has an above average attitude towards helping other classmates.
Average

Student is neutral about the activities. Student spreads mixed feelings around the class, both positive and negative.
Below Average

Student is rarely engaged in the activity. Student can be fairly negative and needs a reminder to get back on task, can be distracting to teacher/classmates and is in others physical space.
Poor

Student has a negative attitude. Student makes the experience bad for others around him/her. Student may blame others rather than taking responsibility for his/her attitude.

Above Average

Body and/or verbal responses show student was listening. Student asks questions and builds on others comments.
Average

Student sometimes pays attention to the group discussion. Student sometimes ask questions and build on others comments.
Below Average

Student is rarely engaged in the activity. Student needs a reminder to get back on task, can be distracting to teacher/classmates and is in others physical space.
Poor

Student frequently interrupts and/or puts down the views of others. Student does not politely ask questions or for further clarification when they do not understand something.
