Showed Work	Poor The student did not show any work.	Fair The student showed some work, but not for every step.	Good The student showed all work for every step of problem solving.
Explanation	Poor The student did not explain why they chose to solve the problem the way they did.	Fair The student explained why they solved the problem using their chosen method, but did not explain it clearly.	Good The student clearly explained why they used their chosen method and how it was correct.
