Facts- Information

Excellent-Level 4

Presenter gave clear and concise facts and explanations of how these facts support the topic of this presentation. The presenter did a summary of the article in his/her own words. The presenter was able to relate the relevance of the newspaper topic to Texas government. The presenter gave their opinion and supporting facts.
Good-Level 3

Presenter gave concise facts and was somewhat complete with her explanations of how these facts support the topic of the presentation. The presenter only covered two of the three required parts (summary, relevance, opinion). The presenter gave supporting facts and information in their own words.
Fair-Level 2

Presenter failed to give complete facts and some were confusing as to how they supported the topic of the presentation. The presenter only covered one of the three required parts (summary, relevance, opinion). The presenter failed to give supporting facts. The presenter did use their own words in explaining the article.

Presenter was extremely disorganized in the devlivery. Extremely unclear, unable to focus. Does not stay on topic. Completely disorganized.
Delivery of Presentation

Excellent-Level 4

Presenter was well prepared to give his or her presentation and was well rehearsed. Constant eye contact with audience and did not use q-cards.
Good-Level 3

Presenter was somewhat prepared to give his/her presentation but could have used more time to rehearse. Moderate eye contact and used of q-cards.
Fair-Level 2

Presenter was not prepared to give his/her presentation and needed more time to rehearse. Presenter struggled to avoid q-cards and very briefly gave eye contact.
Poor-Level 1

Presenter was not prepared to give the presentation and obviously did not rehearse at all. Relied heavily upon reading cards. No eye contact.

Presenter was adequately able to answer all questions from the audience.

The presenter was able to come up with a question for the class that related to the article and sparked discussion.

The presenter was able to come up with a question for the class relevant to the article but was not able to spark discussion for the class.
Fair-Level 2

The presenter did not come up with a question for the class and only summarized the article, told of it's relevance to Texas government and gave their opinion.
Poor-Level 1

The student failed to present all of their article and did not come up with a question for the class.
