National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Rubric National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Rubric Students are eligible for induction into the National Junior Honor Society if they have a 3.75 or higher GPA. Students will be required to complete the student service/activity information form, and write four paragraphs detailing how he/she exemplifies the core areas of NJHS, OR explaining why they want to be a part of the NJHS. Character-Short Paragraph	Poor Paragraph was poorly written, unorganized, and lacked 3 or more reasons exemplifying character traits/core ares.	Fair Paragraph was very Broad, weak, and incomplete (lacking 3 examples).	Good Paragraph gives 3 strong examples of character traits/core areas but not exemplary in their presentation or reasoning.	Excellent Has a concise paragraph with 3 or more exemplary examples of character traits/core areas. Examples are well-written, well presented, and completely thought out.
Leadership	Poor No listed leadership positions.	Fair Has been elected/selected or participated in 1 leadership positions in school, community, and/or work activities in school.	Good Has been elected/selected or participated in 2 leadership positions in school, community, and/or work activities in school.	Excellent Has been elected/selected or participated in 3 or more leadership positions in school, community, and/or work activities in school.
