The World of Theatre 
Individual and group work, applying movement, voice, and place. The students will participate in an on-going project involving a group scene performed for the class. The students will go through the various aspects of theatre including the technical side in order to create a scene to be performed for the class.

Diction is used, but is still difficult to understand at times.
Tone and pitch are changed at times, though sometimes not appropriate.
Clear, but still mumbles and is unclear at certain points.
Uses characterization, but not equally enough with the other actors.
Excellent

Projects so that everyone can hear.
Uses diction very well, everyone can understand.
Tone and pitch are changes at all appropriate times.
Clear, can understand everything that's said.
Characterization is very clear and used at all appropriate times.
Memorization

Students know their lines and can interact with the other actors without break or awkward pauses

Poor

Does not have lines memorized at all. Does not work off of the other actors. Has many moments of silence throughout the presentation.
Fair

Has some of the lines memorized, but called for line cues very often. A few awkward pauses, and works off of other actors slightly.
Good

Has most of the lines memorized, but still called for line cues a few times. Works well off of the other actors, with maybe 1-2 awkward pauses.
Excellent

All lines memorized, didn't have to call for line cues. Worked very well off of the other actors with no awkward pauses.
