A: Excellent

Student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) by discussing all class aspects of the presentation materials and provides explanations as outlined within the presentation directions.
Goals, scope, mission are clearly identified.
3 content areas are thoroughly explored and discussed.
B: Good

Student is at ease with presentation topic but fails to elaborate. Student follows majority of presentation directions as outlined for assignment.
Goals, scope, and mission are identified.
3 content areas are discussed but could be elaborated. Discussion leaves audience wanting more information.
C: Fair

Student is uncomfortable with some information and is only able to discuss topic superficially.
Goals, scope and mission are identified but are unclear and confusing.
2 (or less) content areas are identified. They are not discussed in any detail.
F: Poor

Student does not have grasp of information.
Presentation

A: Excellent

Student's materials explain and reinforce screen text and presentation, including text references, or related concepts that support the main topic. Student speaks with great authority, speaks so that everyone can hear, and engages the audience.
B: Good

Student's materials relate to text and presentation. Student speaks with good authority, speaks clearly and slowly.
C: Fair

Student occasionally uses materials that only sometimes support text and presentation. Student has a low voice, is unsure of the material but still communicates.
F: Poor

Student uses superfluous graphics or no graphics and no texts or handouts. Student mumbles or has not rehearsed the presentation.
Mechanics

A: Excellent

Presentation has no misspellings or grammatical errors. The student is engaged with the material, engages the audience, can speak away from the notes.
B: Good

Presentation has no more than two misspellings and/or grammatical errors. Student engages with the audience, makes eye contact, and only occasionally faces away from the audience.
C: Fair

Presentation has three misspellings and/or grammatical errors. Student only occasionally explains topics, and refers mostly to the notes, Some eye contact.
F: Poor

Student's presentation has four or more spelling errors and/or grammatical errors. Student only reads the items but does make eye contact. Student may not make any eye contact.
Combination of sources

A: Excellent

Student discusses a core topic, includes comparisons, related texts, references to multiple (3+)experts within field, and places the topic in context of all sources. Student contextualizes their personal experience and goals with their presentation materials.
B: Good

Student discusses a core topic, includes comparisons, related texts, includes 2 experts. Student takes an objective perspective in contextualizing experience with presentation materials.
C: Fair

Student discusses a core topic, includes comparisons but they are limited in explanation. Some texts are included but they are irrelevant and only 1 expert is identified. Student takes an objective perspective in contextualizing experience with presentation materials.
F: Poor

Student discusses a topic but is not linked to one's vocation v. profession.

Student presentation is disorganized, has no identifiably related topic to presentation materials/directions.
