	Good/Excellent (4-5) This paragraph succeeds in reading like a strong first draft This paragraph has been edited, stylized, and completed with an awareness of the assignment, purpose, and audience. (N/A)	Fair/Good (3) This is a paragraph that is working for the most part, but still reads more like an incomplete and/or nonproofread draft. (N/A)	Poor/Almost Fair(0-2) This paragraph needs a lot of work and is either a near failing paragraph or a paragraph that needs to be entirely redesigned/reorganized and rewritten. (N/A)
Topic Development	Good/Excellent (4-5) - Content is comprehensive, accurate, and addresses the assignment. - Ideas are presented in a clear and understandable manner. - Content and purpose of the writing are clear.	Fair/Good (3) - Content is not comprehensive and /or persuasive. - Content is inconsistent with regard to the assignment	Poor/Almost Fair(0-2) - Content is incomplete. - Unclear if writer understands the purpose of the assignment.
Organization	Good/Excellent (4-5) - Structure is clear and easy to follow. -Transitions are used properly	Fair/Good (3) - Structure of the paragraph is not easy to follow. - transitions used mostly appropriately.
