There were few if no facial expressions. Present facial expressions did not match with mood or emotion. The faces were blank.

Different facial expressions were used, and they accurately portrayed the mood or emotion intended. Very expressive faces.
Body Movement

Actors stood still most of the time, as if frozen. Few body movements did not help to tell the story.

There were body movements. Most of the time the movements matched the emotion/mood, and helped to tell the story. Sometimes the movements seemed out of place.

The movements were expressive and helped to tell the story. They matched the mood/emotion of the character. Movements seemed to fit the moment.
Voice & Clarity

Voice is easily heard only if standing next to the speaker. Words are slurred or mumbled and difficult to understand.

Voice is easily heard only a few feet from the speaker. Some words are difficult to understand.

Voice is easily heard in all parts of the room. Speech is very clear with all words distinctly pronounced. Speech is easy to understand even when speaking quickly. Loud volume seems natural without yelling.

The skit looks as if it was thrown together at the last minute. Students do not know what is going on.

Some rehearsal is evident, but some students look confused and are unsure of what is going on. Some students have a general idea of their parts.

Rehearsal is evident. All students know what is happening, an have a good idea of their parts.

Appears comfortable performing in front of a group. Enjoyable to watch with reactions appropriate to the scene. Keeps body positioned to share facial gestures and expressions with the audience.
