Self Evaluation
Evaluate Research In preparation for the performance of this piece, you prepared in and out of rehearsal. How effective was your preparation outside of rehearsal?	Poor Research was not meaningful or important to the production of this play.	Fair Research provided specific understanding of character traits referred to within the play. Little or no research was done on the background of the play or playwright.	Good Significant research was done on references within the play to my specific character, other characters, historical context, setting, and the playwright's own history.
Evaluate Rehearsal How effective was the rehearsal process and my contribution to it?	Poor Rehearsal was the main resource to learn about the play, blocking and lines, and to develop character.	Fair Rehearsal was the primary time and location for discovery and creation. Discussion of characters, the play, and our collaborative vision were a large part of rehearsal.	Good Rehearsal was effective at putting into action what was discovered in our research, allowing experimentation, discovery, and creation of critical dramatic elements.
Evaluate Progress How does your progress toward the performance reflect an increased understanding and creation of a believable dramatic character?	Poor I am doing with my character, more or less, what I was doing at the beginning of this process.	Fair The discoveries I made in rehearsal have caused me to reevaluate my tactics and objectives.	Good I have done extensive character analysis on my own using journal entries and questioning choices. I have developed these into playable actions in the rehearsal process.
Evaluate the Process Reflect on the responsibility that you took for the success of this process, communication, and your openness to collaboration.	Poor This process has not helped me to grow in my work.	Fair I did not use this process to its full potential or capacity, but it was useful in my personal and collaborative growth during this play.	Good Some changes could be made to the process, but I took advantage of what was there and helped to improve the process for me and others through my own initiative.
