Desgin a Door rubric 
The students and teacher will design a door for the "I Love to Read Month" theme. Suggested ideas are "I Love to Read" or "Reading is Fun" but classes may come up with their own theme around reading.

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the group is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Good

The work was done with good effort that shows what the group is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this door and its presentation.
Exceeds

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the group is proud of the work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the group.
Creativity

Lacks original artwork. Not students own drawing/writing. Not good use of space on door
Messy. Lacks color, texture.

Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not alot of color/shapes/design. Most of the drawings/writing is the class's own.

Contains groups own writing and drawing.Lots of colors, shapes, and appealing design. Shows the class spent time creating an artistic, thoughtful piece.
Exceeds

Eye catching. Great use of colors, texture, shapes, and spacing on door. Artwork is the class's own & is neat. Writing is easy to read. Shows the class can express ideas through art.

Pieces/items falling or hanging off.

Door materials are damaged, poorly presented. Some items possibly falling off.
Good

Door is clean and neatly displayed. No items falling off.

Door is of exceptional quality and presentation. Nothing hanging or falling off.
